What Should I Do if I Get Bit by a Dog in Rhode Island?

dog-bite-5-902x1024If you’re ever bit by a dog, the first thing you should try to do is find out, if you can, who the owner of the dog is. If you can’t do that, just make a note of where the incident occurred and if possible, you should notify the local police and the local dog officer. If you’re unable to do this and you’re involved in a dog attack, contact my office and we have the personnel to notify all these agencies to make sure that there’s a record that it occurred and can stop the claim process for you.
